Forza Motorsports 2 is a dream come true for all racing fans and car fanatics. At the beginning of the game you’ll start off with the option to pick which home region you’d like to race for. Home region will determine the cost and availability of cars throughout your career. Right out of the gate, you’ll start off with eleven thousand credits and a hand full of cars to choose from. The racing events are broken down into nine categories. These categories include Proving Grounds, Amateur Cup Races, Endurance Races, etc. These are basically pyramids that you’ll climb through the length of your career. The thing that really stands out about this game is the close attention to detail and the life like car physics. For example, if you wreck into a wall, the damage will affect the handling of the car. This feature brings out a real challenge for racing fans. Unlike most other arcade based games, if you wreck you do not have the option to respawn your vehicle. Another thing that doesn’t go unnoticed is the car upgrades and accessories. You can use these to manipulate your vehicle and create a finely tuned and unique machine. Although there are only 12 environments to race in, the fact that there’s over three hundred unlockable cars to choose from and realistic car physics makes Forza Motorsports 2 an unbelievable racing experience and a must have for the 360. For an even more intense racing experience I suggest getting your hands on the steering wheel and pedal. (Yee-haw!)I give Forza Motorsports 2 a well deserved B+ .Jeremy Hohman is the writer, producer and host of GameBytes a 30 minute weekly game news and review show.Jeremy is currently traveling across the U.S. hosting gaming competitions for GameZnFlix at the Midnight Gaming Championship 2007.
